About Contura
Contura makes wood-burning stoves in Sweden, designed around a simple idea: a beautiful fire that is easy to light, easy to keep going and easy to clean. Large glass doors, cast iron and optional soapstone give every model a clean Scandinavian look.
Smart details come as standard on the Style range: an Automatic Start Function to get the fire going, a Refuelling Boost Function to revive the embers, a Clean Burning System with preheated air, a cool-touch handle and a silent sliding ashtray.
Flamestyle is the main Contura agent in Ireland and was the first premium Contura dealer. Most Contura models are on display in our Bray showroom, and our sister company, The Soot Doctor, installs them safely, even in timber cabins.
Our expertise
A timber cabin, garden room or log home needs more care than a brick chimney. The Soot Doctor was founded by a Dublin Fire Brigade firefighter, and fire safety guides every install we do.

We set the right distances to combustible timber walls and add heat shielding and a non-combustible hearth where needed.

Every install is commissioned, with a carbon monoxide alarm fitted and advice on safe burning.

Contura 500 Style
The redesigned Style stoves have larger side glass, a cast-iron door and a cool-touch handle, with a log compartment underneath. Choose a cast-iron or soapstone top on the 596.

Contura 510 & 520 Style
The 510 is shaped for a corner, with a large glass door that spreads light and heat across the room. The 520 gives the same features in a front-facing form.
Contura 600 Style
Choose a cast-iron or glass door and a black, grey or white metal surround, with log storage at the side and an optional warming shelf.
Contura 300
A tall, modern stove with a spacious glass door, in black or white. It takes logs up to 50 cm long, with a matching log store option.
Classics & inserts
The compact 110, 130 and 210 suit traditional and modern homes. The i2 cassette turns an open fireplace into an efficient, clean-burning fire, with a three or four-sided frame.

A stove in a timber cabin, garden room or log home needs the right clearances to combustible walls, heat shielding, a non-combustible hearth, a correctly rated flue where it passes through the timber roof or wall, and a carbon monoxide alarm. Flamestyle and The Soot Doctor have the expertise to install wood stoves safely in wooden cabins.
ASF (Automatic Start Function) helps the fire light and get going on its own. RBF (Refuelling Boost Function) gives extra air to revive dying embers when you add wood. SSA (Silent Sliding Ashtray) is a damped ash pan that slides out quietly for easy emptying.
Yes. The Contura i2 cassette fits into an existing fireplace or a new build and burns far more cleanly and efficiently than an open fire, with a three or four-sided frame.
It depends on the room size, insulation and where the stove will sit. The 510 Style suits corners, the 600 Style lets you choose the door and surround colour, and the compact 110, 130 and 210 suit smaller rooms. We'll match the model and output to your room in the showroom.
